Their Brilliant Career

I’m intrigued by trying to establish who has had the “best” or “coolest” or most influential musical career in terms of bands they’ve been in. So not someone like  Neil Young, who is known for being Neil Young. But someone like Kid Congo Powers, who managed to be in the Gun Club, The Cramps, The Bad Seeds and Die Haut. Or Kevin Martin – he’s been around, no? People like Stephen Thrower or Thighpaulsandra have notched up some fairly impressive CVs. Dave Pajo too.

Ideally, I’d like to ignore those perenially rotating members of bands like Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Whitesnake and Deep Purple, who only ever had 8 members between the lot of them, staggering from one line-up to another in a blizzard of coke and dandruff.
